L'ANCIENNE ECOLE is a rural Gite, Bed and Breakfast in the Finistre region of Brittany,

The beaches are within a 20 min drive with beautiful golden sands. The coastal area caters for a wide range of water sports including kayaking, wind surfing, kite surfing, sand buggying and sailing.

The National Parc is just 5 minutes drive away; this includes a small range of mountains, known as Les monts D'arree. Brassparts, which is within the park, has an exhibition centre for local craftsmen and women to display and sell their works.

The village of Plourin-les-Morlaix is 3km from the gite. This has an arcade of shops which include a bank, bakery, supermarket, post office, pharmacy, doctors and dentist.

There is a swimming pool at Plougineau, which is a 15 minutes drive.

The small village of Le Cloitre has a museum dedicated to the wolf. Three minutes away, it is open throughout the summer.

Huelgoat has the rock valley which was formed from the ice age.

Rosscoff, Carantec, Loquirec and St Pol-de- Leon are lovely coastal villages, each maintaining its own individuality. They haven't been spoilt by commercialisation. All of this is within a 20 minute drive.

Further afield you have Perris Guirec with its marvellous rose granite. Brest, the closet city from us, again only 35 minutes away, is steeped in naval history and has a large shopping area, good night life and a train service from Morlaix station.
